It's not a rumour, Gov. Wike&Senator Bassey Albert are still together even though the Senator left to YPP for his Governorship ambition. Gov. Udom knows this.

Wike &Senator OBA worked so hard alongside other powerful Northerners & PDP bigwigs in the South for the emergence of Senator Iyorchia Ayu as National Chairman of PDP, cos of interest of getting Presidential & Governorship tickets respectively, which Ayu did not guarantee them&could not influenced anything during the Primaries, they feel so betrayed, hence the crisis, Gov. Udom hijacked the Party's primaries in the State in favour of his prefferred Governorship Candidate, Pastor Umo Eno&other elective positions, Senator OBA having realized that PDP Governorship ticket is not gonna be within his reach, left to a relatively new party The Young Progressives Party, (YPP) with factions of PDP, who is now making sensational waves in the State.
Even in YPP The Distinguished Senator still has more die-hard loyalists in the State PDP currently, next year gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State on the 11th of March, 2023 will be all about Personality, Popularity, Capacity & Competence, I will not be surprise to see an upset

Gov. Udom actually supported & wanted Uche Secondus to emerged Chairman of the party, which was against Wike's wishes, reasons is, if Uche had emerged, that would have created room for a Northern Presidential candidate to emerged which is in tandem with the PDP Constitution.

Atiku is obviously proud! The G5 made it known on several occasions their willingness to reconcile. But Atiku turned deaf ears because he believes Northern vote would send him to Aso Rock. Wike and his group might be noisy but they are fighting a just cause.

You are right. Atiku is being arrogant and banking on just Northern votes to make him President, that's why he misyarned at Arewa House telling them you don't need a Yoruba or Igbo President but a Northerner but it will shock him. If Buhari who possessed a cult following in the North couldn't become President while banking on Northern votes only and lost multiple times until he made alliances with the likes of Tinubu and Amaechi, how much more an Atiku who doesn't have such following. Even this population thing the North are boasting of is down to corruption in Nigeria where their voting population is inflated with foreigners from Niger, Chad etc and underage voters.

If you follow atiku political career one will understand why he could not resolve the pdp crisis.
