what am I doing wrong in my trading so far?
In just 5 days I have entered through, back and fro from -1.2 to -1.4 drawdown tollgate😥 3 times in a roll🤦🏻

1) stick to hourly candles, you will see d price action on minutes.
2) markt iz chaotic, there was a time I was afriad of trading London newyork overlap, now I think that is where money flows best, in short ignore other session and trade when the bigplayers are trading.
3) mon-fri be consistent. The big banks surprise retail traders alot.
4) Save mental energy for newyork session.

london's morning overlaps with late trading in Asia session naa mental stress walahi...if price no consolidate with spiky fake outs, price go just dey manipulate anyhow... las las person go dey alright🤕

As from today henceforth, will be risking just 0.8% max per trade, because two trades activated today alone, potentially risking 2.4% of an account daily is not wise enough.
Another lesson learnt today!


Thinking about another strategy of setting stoploss and keeping tp open too. Normally, my TP would have hit on GU since and potentially miss out on many more pips, but it could also reverse and lose everything too.

Just testing and weighing the risks and rewards.

A very wise decision sire, I personally don't risk more than 0.5% per trade after news in combination with gold and US30 dealt with me severely, I realized that I can't compete with those witches and wizards that are pulling crazy numbers that was after I got myself disqualified. Omo there are level's to this shit, person wey pass you pass you be dat oh. The kind juju way some traders dey use ehn, e pass witchcraftfx oooh. ogami nzechu no pun intended ooo.

My two cents-

Looking at what happened ydae on FOMC,

Trying to get a system which is 20-40 pips stop loss and take profit between 1pm-3pm is very difficult.

Instead, do this...

Choose anyone but focus on learning either ICT or supply and demand levels.

If it's supply and demand levels, focus on finding the levels with 4h, daily, weekly and monthly and wide stop loss of like 100 pips on either pair.

A good book on supply and demand is three lines forecasting by R. Rana (available on LibGen)

Combine that with candlestick knowledge on 4h chart primarily.

You can finish reading Rana's book in a day and start practicing the concept on either pair with 100 pips stop loss and partial entry.

Focus on EU
It will give u the avenue to learn without risking much and as you go higher in your learning you can switch to GBPUSD to experience how volatile pair works

On eurusd, considering buying at 1.048 once the right signals appears with stop loss of 1.038.
