“A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:5 If your Church is married to the State; supporting, promoting, praising and serving your nation or government, run. If your Church exalts men over Christ, run. If your Church thinks a physical ethnic group or a worldly political Nation-State is God’s Chosen People, run. If you hear the Pastor preach that he, or “Church” is the mediator between you and God, run. If all you hear is Psychology and Corporate Management Theory, run. If they teach you to maintain your power over others rather than to humble yourself as a servant, run. If they proudly desire to rule the world and take Dominion over the “7 Mountains”, rather than deny self and pick up their cross to follow Jesus humbly unto death, then run. If they say you are not a Christian unless you are in a group, run. If they care more about your outward appearance of religious piety than your relationship with Christ and spiritual growth, run. If it is dead religion, run! If your Pastor rebukes you as unloving and divisive, for contending for the faith and defending truth, run. If your Pastor rebukes you as foolish, as one not having “boundaries”, for loving and helping “needy” people, don’t walk, run for the door. If you hear false doctrines and false gospels coming from the “pulpit”, run away. We are to love the truth and abide in the truth. We are to love and minister to people. Jesus Christ our Lord commands us to preach truth, and to love and help the suffering (especially other Christians!). He does not discourage you in your love of the truth, or in your obedience and service to Him. |

Joagbaje:Hi Joagbaje, hope your weekend is rolling out fine. I am interested. Kindly outline what is wrong about the OP. |

^^^ The counsel is bad for joagbaje's business. He would rather have dolts who obey his whims and caprices as church members. |

Now, this is an interesting one here. Why haven't you run away all this while when your church/religion has been claiming that the ethnic group called JEWS, or the worldly state of ISRAEL, are God's chosen people? You're just as fake as the religion you claim to speak for. frosbel: |

^^^ Shocking !!! that you could come up with such falsehood, except that you have willingly avoided or ignored articles written to straighten out the facts in reference to Israel and their relation to the Christian faith. |

Yeah, really shocking, the hypocrisy. When i discovered that the Bible God is a farking hypocrite free to commit genocide, while the christian religion was telling me that this very same God created us all equal and loves us equally, i had to run from this sick religion. frosbel: |

InesQor:Glory to God sir. I am interested. Kindly outline what is wrong about the OP.Froebel is not the holy spirit to tell people to leave a church . That's a dangerous counsel. Ok let's take the first part of his post for example . If your Church is married to the State; supporting, promoting, praising and serving your nation or government, runPast president and present president had been attending functions in redeemed church. The president even knelt down to be prayed for openly. And the presidency invites some of them to aso rock . Now according to Frosbel , people should flee from redeemed . Isn't that a dangerous counsel? . Is anything wrong in church partnering with government? Would you rather prefer church being persecuted and hiding to worship God? If the church is respected by government that is a form of successs. That is influence . I would rather prefer an influecial church that has a voice to a weak powerless church. No no man has the right to tell people to leave a church because you dont agree with what the church believes . If there should be any movement ,That's the work of the holy spirit . The fact that someone doesn't agree with a church structure doesn't mean it is wrong. There could have been some element of truth in some things Frosbel wrote , but you don't give a blanket counsel. You have to deal with a matter on it's own. Nothing is wrong with a Pastor speaking well of government , Nothing is wrong with a pastor beingp close to government.(that's Influence) |

^^ God forbid that I should take the place of Christ or the Holy Spirit, like many false men of God and false prophets have done today, preventing the sheep from having a 1:1 relationship with Christ and bogging them down with doctrines that have no biblical backing such as tithing, kingdom dominion , here and now and a whole host of doctines that have nothing to do with holiness, denying yourself and taking up your cross etc etc. With reference to a church married to the state, let me clarify : 1. Making your church participate in the tax exempt status for charities. Christ said give unto Caesar ( taxes ) what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. 2. Mobilizing your members to vote for a particular candidate , instead of using prayer to ask God for his will. Since when did Christ ask you to get involved in politics. Are you a pastor for the purpose of feeding the sheep and reaching the lost ? or are you a Pastor who tells his congregation how to enhance their comfort in the here and now while marrying them to the state by involving them in politics ? Leave politics for the world, we have much work to do. 3. Turning your church into a venue for the sowing of seeds of hatred towards one particular tribe or group in a Nation There are so many of them , but let us revisit this later on as its a Sunday today. |
