Later someone like mikel obi will start talking trash about Ronaldo because he has retired with tired legs due to age falsification while Ronaldo is still playing on.

Corruption. That's why Africa, especially Nigeria, keeps on winning the Under 17 World Cup, but same players graduate to Super Eagles and end up not getting past the group stage.

It’s easy to sit down behind phones and computers to criticize. It is however certain that with the way out football systems and structures are set up here in Africa, we can’t compete if we participate with actual under 17 players.

Physically, our under 17s are smaller than Europeans. Technically, we are definitely behind. Our national coaches are not well trained let alone our grassroots coaches. Under 17s in Europe come from the academies of the big clubs. Where do we get our under 17s from? The streets.

Now to the players themselves, as a sports person, I’ve learnt that it takes a minimum of 10 years to train to become professional (could be shorter for really gifted ones). Usually the players in Europe are almost ready to transition when they come to the under 17s for further exposure. In Africa however, our players go to the under 17s in hopes that they might attract scouts that will put them in academies abroad. Meanwhile, before the average African player gets tangibly noticed in Africa, he might have been on the street playing for 20+ years. Where should all that sacrifice go to? Because no European team will sign a club less 30year old. How will they even find you in your local field in osun?

Getting abreast with the rest of the work will take more than just age test. Let the stake holders put the right structures and systems in place and this age falsification problem would be brought to the barest minimum.

This is one of the most important issue killing African football- age cheating. This is why Africa may do well in age-grade FIFA competition but have never translate to winning the world Cup @ the global stage.

Leoniel Messi, Fernández Torris, and Micheal Obi all played @ the same era but where is Micheal today. So do it right. Avoiding cheating.
Mikel Obi retired from active professional football at the age of 36, that's not too early. And he had a stellar football career.

Eto’o played professional football for 21 years. How old do you think he would have been when he started?

Samuel Eto'o you for pass your own test during your own time

Eto’o was really young when he played. Dude played professional football for 21years. If you add age for beginning, e go hard to do am.

Even Eto'o himself is not clean. If he take the test, 5 years go add on top him football age

Eto'o himself would have failed his own test.

Eto'o played from the age of 16 to the age of 38 and had one of the longest careers of any AFRICAN footballer. His longevity is proof that he was not an age cheat. So he has a moral standing on which to take such actions.

Nothing is more pleasing than having the right personnel for the job.
Wishing corrupt laden NFF can emulate this by giving past footballers an opportunity to lead our football nation back to its past glory.

It's not rocket science. African teams are by and large quite successful in FIFA youth tournaments but struggle to go past quarterfinal stage at adult world cups where they meet their mates. It doesn't take a big degree to figure out the reason

I can show you statistically that age cheating cannot be isolated as the only explanation.

Excluding African teams how many countries who uave won the world cup have also won the u17 in the last 20 years?

There are significant differences in the quality of youth coaching in the west and motivation levels that need to be accounted for.

Good development....

Corruption should be rooted out in all aspects of our existence
Hopefully, we will also borrow a leaf from their book and do the right thing and not just in football but to all the moribund sectors of which governance/politics is the number one.
