Don't you know we don't generate enough revenue, and that our debt currently dwarfs the revenue we manage to generate from oil which makes the bulk of our revenue?

Don't you know that we have to spend (not save) to increase our revenue?

Don't you know we need to create jobs and to invest into small businesses and tighten up our tax system to drive up our revenue?

Don't you know we have to combat oil theft? Can you combat oil theft by saving money in the bank?

You save money only when your revenue status is great and you are producing goods and services.

You don't save money when you still import fish.
Spend on what?
Infrastructure?is the minimum wage that is irregular and ineffective
Jobs?no government creates jobs they create the ENABLING environment
Tax?you must be joking,we are already overtaxed as it is,subsidy is long gone and we have ZERO welfare schemes for the poor

2022, our revenue is so poor our debt dwarfs it.

We need to spend money to:

1. Fight oil theft

2. Create jobs.

3. Invest in SMEs

4. Create goods.

5. Create electricity

Which of those five things (which generate revenue) can you do by saving money in the bank?

So, you have a case where your GDP expenditure to GDP ratio is the lowest in Africa, and you still think that saving money is the best way.

It is not only OBJ that's jealous of Tinubu. There are many of them. Many of them cannot pocket their States or adopted States. Many of them are too scared to be a drug baron with the unlimited resources it provides. So it makes sense that those who don't have the wherewithal will be jealous of the unremarkable life of Tinubu.
