I have never bothered myself to comment on the supposed gaffes of Tinubu, but today I would.

Even as a young vibrant Governor in Lagos State, Tinubu already had a speech/tongue issue, which has nothing to do with his capacity to be brilliant and efficient at his work.

I believe those who knew him from his university days and early career as a brilliant auditor, would have observed this speech/tongue defect even then.

The point here is that Tinubu's speech issues are as congenital as Peter Obi’s Adaobi voice issues. I do not condemn anyone of the 2 over a matter they have no control over. It has nothing to do with age, as obvious from the videos of his speeches when he was Governor.

Age has only slowed his speech as would be expected, but the tongue twisters have always been there in his speeches.

I am not supporting him because of his speech, but because of his capacity to grow economy and conceive complex infrastructural development, while creating the necessary framework for governance to interface effectively with followership.

This was in 2012, after returning from the USA , where he attended the Democratic Party convention in North Carolina, where Barack Obama's 2nd term ticket was ratified.

This was in 2000, when he was detailing his economic and infrastructural plans for Lagos, and the Public-Private Partnership models that has continued to make Lagos the economic giant it is in Africa. He was addressing the Corporate Council on Africa.

Please how can we have this genius as a candidate and some are supporting olodos who cannot even grasp the complexities of governance that Tinubu has fully domesticated?

Suffer no dey tire you?

Vote wisely.

You are correct that he has always talked carelessly, sometimes showing signs of intoxicating influence.

There they come as usual, What sort of presidency does Tinubu want to have if he becomes president? A continuation of Buhari? Well, he may not be as lucky as Buhari as been.

" Given these serial gaffes, it has become typical for a barrage of commentators to take up the job of explaining to the public what Tinubu really means when he uses what they describe as idioms, proverbs, and metaphors....

After eight years of Buhari's vacant, dementia-plagued presidency, the last thing Nigeria needs is another presidency that will double down on it, that would be conducted through dishonest press releases by presidential spokespersons, paid social media troll farms, and TV appearances by deviously mercenary mind managers.
