The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume has said the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, should not constitute a barrier to the election of Senator Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shetima as president and vice president of the country in the coming general elections.

He said the ticket remains the best for the country stressing that those on a mission to deceive Nigerians in order to deny them the benefit of voting the candidates do not mean well for the country.

The Minister who spoke during the official flag-off of the Benue State APC gubernatorial campaign in Gboko Local Government Area, LGA, likened the ticket to the Abiola/Kingibe ticket of 1993 that enjoyed the massive support of Nigerians.

He said “let nobody deceive you, forget about what they say about Muslim-Muslim. What is Muslim-Muslim, what Nigeria needs at this time is a team that can deliver and the Tinubu/Shetima combination is what we need at this time in the country.”

While drumming suppport for the gubernatorial candidates of the party in the state, Senator Akume urged the people to rally round the APC in the state to ensure its victory in the coming elections.

Addressing the gathering, the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu enjoined the leadership of the party in the state to work hard to dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the state.

Represented by the APC National Vice Chairman, North Central, Alhaji Mu’azu Rijau, the National Chairman urged them to embark on mass mobilization across the state to ensure the victory of the party in the elections.

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Shippers Council, Mr. Emmanuel Jime represented by the APC senatorial candidate for Benue North West District, Titus Zam, urged Benue people to vote Tinubu/Shettima for Presidency, Rev. Fr. Alia for Governor and all other APC candidates in the election.

The governorship candidate of the party, Rev. Hyacinth Alia, in his speech assured that if elected governor of the state he would improve the healthcare delivery, prioritize agricultural production, build cottage industries and ensure infrastructural development among others.

Earlier, the Director General Alia/Ode Campaign Organisation, Rev. Frederick Ikyaan, who also urged the people to rally round the APC in the state said, “this day heralds the conscious and vehement decision of Benue people to launch a leadership campaign that is purposeful and divinely prepared to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the teeming Benue masses.”

We will not vote a Muslim Muslim ticket

We will not vote for a thief and mentally unstable man

There are more qualified candidates in the presidential race which Peter Obi top the list .

APC mismanaged our economy for 8 years so reinforcing them means more calamity for the country .

Is it not hypocritical that those who crave for a'New Nigeria' where place of origin, religion, region and other parochial considerations shouldn't decide ones fate are the same people emphasizing the Muslim-muslim ticket.

One urchin said that half of Enugu is with tilumbu because one nnamani and one kettlegrin is supporting him, I just dey laugh..

Go and check how igbos play politics, totally different from northerners, politicians can't influence votes in SEgrin if you like govern a state for ten years, if the people dont like you, that is final, they only vote their mind...their was a news of shekarau joining PDP in kano and PDP were rejoicing, Bros if it's in SE nobody send you as far as they are not voting yougrin

For example like assuming the governor of Enugu and Abia states tell their people to vote APC next month, I swear it will only influence the governors aide or PA.. grin if care is not taken the people fit stone them..

I was with some yoruba folks today even though I couldn't understand yoruba clearly from the little English they spoke they loathe tinubu and the mu mu ticket rubbish. Tinubu should be ready for yoruba Christians.
Any Christian who votes APC will need to check again if he is a Christian after all that is happening to Christians in kaduna

Why will people be so convenient with hardship? I keep asking myself this question, when ever I still see people still supporting APC.

APC is a disaster.

I voted APC in 2015, but when I look back and see how worst things have gotten now, I feel like weeping.

Is obvious they have no plan for this country

What consequences? Who told you that Christians won't vote for the APC ticket?

A lot of you are just kids who don't remember history.

Go and check the history of past elections in Nigeria from 1979 to 1993 and tell me how many were determined by religious considerations.

Stupid, stupid, and stupid. Would you have said the same thing with the most loving and peaceful religion in the world (CHristian-Christian)?

One thing they need to know is that Nigeria's population is 50-50 and/or Christians maybe even have the upper hand with the population. Let Atiku, the frog eyes, and the other man in Kano state fight for Muslims to vote while all Christian vote OBI. Let's see who wins the election.

May God punish you if you ever support Tinubu.

The major factor of Tinubu's success is that you aren't supporting him.
Whoever you support must end up a loser.

Last week, you and that gala hawker supported Emefiele on Monday. By Friday of the same week, he was already a fugitive. Anything you touch must spoil.

Your place where they didn't impose Governors on you, why are they giving your mothers 500 Naira for giving birth when it's not that they gave birth to dogs?
Why are they bribing your fathers with kerosene?

You idiots ought to be banned from voting because your brains are not developed enough to vote sensible leaders.

WHO ARE THE “OBIDIENTS”

1. In Those Earlier Days, “Obidients” were the Frustrated Nigerians.
(Surely, most of them were actually toxic in those days)

2. Some times later, “Obidients” became those who wanted a better Nigeria, (especially through Peter Obi).

3. In these past recent days, “Obidients” are those persons who had made up their minds to join in “Evangelising” other people to join in wanting a better Nigeria through Peter Obi.

4. In the Near future, “Obidients” are going to be all those persons who voted for PETER OBI.

5. Ultimately, after the elections and beyond, “Obidients” would become “The Whole Of Nigerians”.

Christians are a very meek breed. The north and many southern moslems would have been in serious disagreement by now if there was a popular Christian-Christian ticket. Many are not looking at this picture

But the current massacring and displacing of Christians in the north central with no assistance wasn't common in those days
