Our attention has been drawn to the
misinformation making rounds on the
Internet published by one Instablog9ja
credited to the Rt Hon Ehie Edison,
Esq, DSSRS, Deputy Speaker Rivers
State House of Assembly, about "a
woman who gave birth successfully in
Ahoada East LGA, by screaming the
name of His Excellency Nyesom
Ezenwo Wike".
This is to inform the general and
innocent public that the deputy
speaker Rt Hon Ehie Edison, Esq,
DSSRS never made the above
statement erroneously credited to him
on the 11th Jan 2023.

It is on record that at the official flag-
off of the construction of OBODHI/
0ZOCHI ROAD/BRIDGE on the 11th Jan
2023, the Deputy Speaker didn't have
the microphone at any point in time to
speak on the history-making event that
took place on the faithful day of the
official flag off of the Obodhi/0zochi
Road.
It is a pity like the governor said some
weeks ago "that what we have in
Nigeria today are not journalists but
pressmen who publish unverified
information".
We hereby call on the so-called
instablog/bloggers to have verified
information before publishing the same
to avoid misinforming the general and
unsuspecting public.
