Best Snapdragon 680 Midrange Phones In Nigeria With Prices by atheistandproud(m): 6:44pm On Jan 14, 2023
The Snapdragon 680 SoC is a lower midrange SoC from American tech giants Qualcomm. The SD680 is a lower midrange SoC and thus sits somewhere in the middle on our list of top 100 smartphone SoCs in the world.

This means that whilst you are assured of a decent CPU core performance, you won’t get anything close to top of the line. So if you are intent on getting a phone with the SD680, these are things that you ought to keep in mind. The SD680 is a good SoC but it is not great.

Best Snapdragon 680 phones in Nigeria

10. Oppo Reno 7
The Reno 7 sports an SD680, a 6.43″ 1080p AMOLED display, a 64+2+2MP triple camera setup and a 4500mAh battery. The battery can be quickly charged with a 33W fast charger. The Reno 7 only has one memory variant (8/256GB) which sells for ₦264,000 ($582).

My opinion: This phone is simply one word. Overpriced! Just like its Oppo Reno 8 sibling, the Reno 7 is grossly overpriced and shouldn’t even be considered.

9. Huawei Nova 9 SE
The Huawei Nova 9 SE boasts of the SD680, a 6.78″ 1080p IPS-LCD display, a 108+8+2+2MP camera setup and a 4000mAh battery. This device supports 66W fast charge. Prices for this phone starts at ₦190,000 ($422).

My opinion: This is a much better phone than the Oppo Reno 7 and it is a lot more affordable but its lack of Google services makes that price tag highly untenable. In one word, it is also overpriced.
stand against it in the end. This phone is not all that overpriced but its a hard pass for me.

8. Oppo A96
This is Oppo’s second phone on this list. The Oppo A96 has the standard SD680, a 6.5″ IPS-LCD display, a 50+2MP dual camera arrangement and a 5,000mAh battery. The A96 also supports 33W fast charging for it’s massive battery. The prices for the 8/256GB variant is priced at ₦189,900 ($418).

My opinion: Whilst the A96 is a bit of a downgrade with an LCD display, it is still a much better option than the aforementioned duo of the Reno 7 and Nova 9 SE. With that being said, it is still overpriced!

7. Huawei Nova Y90
Here’s another phone from Huawei. In addition to the SD680, the Nova Y90 sports a 6.7″ IPS-LCD display, a 50+2+2MP triple camera setup, a massive 5,000mAh battery with 40W fast charge. Prices start at ₦170,000 ($378).

My opinion: This is also a lot better than the aforementioned options but its lack of Google services and somewhat expensive prices all stand against it in the end. This phone is not all that overpriced but its a hard pass for me.

6. Vivo Y35

The Vivo Y35 is the first phone on this list that is not from either Oppo or Huawei. The Vivo Y35 has the standard SD680, 50+2+2MP triple cameras, 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charge. Prices for the 8/128GB variant starts at ₦168,900 ($373).

My opinion: This phone shares nearly identical specs with the Nova Y90. Same conclusion from me.

5. Oppo A76

Oppo continue their domination of this list with another phone, the Oppo A76. The A76 sports the SD680, a 720p IPS-LCD display, 13+2MP dual cameras, a 5000mAh battery and 30W fast charge. Prices start at ₦154,000 ($342) for the 6/128GB variant.

My opinion: The A76 is priced within the expected limits of an SD680 phone but a phone with a 720p screen should not be commanding such a price. Hard pass.

4. Vivo Y22s

We now move on to the second Vivo phone on this list. The Vivo Y22s, in addition to the SD680, has a 6.55" 720p IPS-LCD display, 50+2MP dual cameras, 5,000mAh battery with 18W of fast charge. Prices start at ₦154,100 ($342) for the 6/128GB variant.

My opinion: See number 5.

3. Redmi 10c

This is Xiaomi-Redmi's first entry on this list. The Redmi 10c shares identical specs with the Y22s and A76 such as the SD680, 6.71" 720p IPS-LCD display, 50+2MP dual cameras, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge. Prices for the 4/64GB variant starts at ₦98,900 ($220).

My opinion: If you are hardpressed on cash, you can not go any wrong with this one. This one is a pass.

2. Samsung Galaxy A23

Samsung makes its debut on this list with its very trendy Samsung Galaxy A23. The A23 in addition to the SD680, has a 6.6" 1080p IPS-LCD display, 50+5+2+2MP cameras and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charge. Prices for the 4/64GB variant begins at ₦154,000 at Slot or ₦149,100 at PoinTek (around $342).

My opinion: Other than the small storage space, the A23 doesn't cut any corners and still keeps prices very fair. This one is a pass.

1. Redmi Note 11

On the top of our list is Xiaomi-Redmi's second entry, the Redmi Note 11. The Redmi Note 11 sports the SD680, a 6.43" 1080p AMOLED display, 50+8+2+2MP and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W of fast charge. Prices for the 6/128GB variant starts at ₦142,000 ($315).

My opinion: The RN11 is the best value for money SD680 phone in the Nigerian market. Xiaomi keeps their promise of having a fair price to performance ratio and they have come through here. This one is a pass.

Because the corporate behemoths that run Nigeria own Nairaland. The forum is for sale to highest bidder. Those bidders are all in agreement to dumb down Nigerians as much as possible so NL is only obliging.

OP, why you hate oppo like this na? Truth be told, oppo and vivo phones overpriced with their mediocre chipsets. Just like tecno selling G35 for more than 100k.

Let me make this perfectly clear, I do not hate Oppo. Not in the slightest. I do not hate Transsion either. What I hate is corruption and extortionate business practices. This is exactly what Oppo Nigeria and Transsion Nigeria are good at. Other countries are trying to make things easier for their own people, these idiots here are trying to make things a lot harder for us.

Why would any right thinking human being with a conscience sell a Snapdragon 680 phone for 280K ($590) or a Helio G35 phone for 100K ($220)? Why? This one is not Buhari or Tinubu oh. This is our fellow Nigerians here.

If I open Tecno case files for here, their resident chief marketer go cry go meet their resident mod go give me another ban as usual.

Do you know that you can pick up an Mi 10 in China or India for less than $200? You can pick up a One Plus 7 Pro in the USA for less than $200? These are Flagships!!! Yet in Nigeria, somebody dey sell SD680 for $500.

Omo life don spoil.

Snapdragon 680 lasan,I should spend over #170k on a Snapdragon 680 phone?

God4bid,just because of 120hz refresh rate because that's the only difference they get from older flagship phones.

Especially that over price oppo reno 7 phone,if i carry that #264,000 enter eBay I go buy better used flagship phone with Snapdragon 875 processor

I'll get a used OnePlus 9pro for less than the amount.
