A candidate needs to have the highest votes plus the required 25 percent in two-thirds spread in the 36 states of the federation.

Where a clear winner does not emerge, there would be a run-off (second election) between the person with the highest votes and the person with the spread, but not necessarily the second highest votes scored

So 1st position can go into a second election with the candidate that came 4th if he has the 25% spread.

He should aim to achieve highest vote together with the 25% spread to avoid a second election

He is talking about 25% because the highest vote matter has been settled since 2022 June.

Are you being serious here? Outside the South East/South South, Lagos is actually the surest state for Obi to get at least 25% in this country. The cosmopolitan nature of Lagos and large number of different ethnicities there including Igbos will ensure that.

A candidate needs to have the highest votes plus the required 25 percent in two-thirds spread in the 36 states of the federation.

Where a clear winner does not emerge, there would be a run-off (second election) between the person with the highest votes and the person with the spread, but not necessarily the second highest votes scored

So 1st position can go into a second election with the candidate that came 4th if he has the 25% spread.

He should aim to achieve highest vote together with the 25% spread to avoid a second election

It is a two horse race: APC vs PDP. Others are just auxiliaries, spoilers

There's something which isnt clear about the 25% rule. Is Abuja counted as a state?

If a candidate gets 25% in 23 states plus Abuja (i.e. 24 in total), does that satisfy the requirement? Or must it be 24 states plus Abuja?

I see Obi winning only 14 states convincely. Atiku will win about 5 states while APC will win atleast 18 states convincely. If a run-off occurs most likely between APC and LP, APC will win because of those that vote for Atiku or Kwankwaso will vote for APC this time. It's a win for APC anyhow it is.

Tinubu cannot win 18 states convincingly, the only person with the ability to win the highest number of states if Obi. Tinubu cannot win any core north state unless Atiku is not on the ballot, and to make it worse he will be sharing his votes with Atiku and BAT. Northern Muslims won't vote a BAT with a pastor wife, Christian children and cannot recite Islamic prayers correctly, Obi's advantage is his leveraging on northern Christian votes which is he is doing soundly by staging campaigns in city capitals and capitals of christian zones like Kafanchan, Idah, Wukari Etc

You do your best to tag Obi an Igbo candidate and IPOB but you never for once tagged Buhari a boko haram candidate or fulani candidate despite the evils the fulani has been doing. Neither have you ever tagged tinubu an OPC candidate despite OPC having killed hundreds of northerners during Tinubu's tenure as governor. Or have you ever tagged TInubu an Oduduwa candidate?
