Arsenal have taken the lead in the bid to sign England's regular starter in the midfield. Declan Rice has reportedly opted for the Gunners to leave West Ham.

In recent years, all the Premier League giants have tried to land the Hammers star, but in the end it was Arteta's side who would have been the ones to take the lead.

'The Guardian' is the one who claims that the Gunners have taken the lead for Declan Rice. The player looks favourably on the project that Mikel Arteta has built.

The London team is the solid Premier League leader, five points ahead of Manchester City, and with an eye-catching and effective game in front of goal.
