The tide is fast turning against Ukraine as Russia is gradually changing the rules of the game. Still the Russians are reluctant to go full scale because they are still interested in the support of the global south, and also they don't want the war to hurt their economy.

The west set a huge trap for Russia in Ukraine. They thought they were just marching into Ukraine just to scare them and pressurise them to give in to their demands. That explains why huge convoys of soldiers without air support surrounded Kiev for days without doing nothing. It is a huge failure of intelligence. Fortunately, it made Ukraine to become overconfident and they overplayed their hands. Many Ukrainians still think the war is a game not knowing they face certain death now if they go fight the Russians.
