Life na vanity. I don't know him in person but from the little information I gathered about from Abians, he was one time VC and Rector of ABSU and Abia Poly respectively. And under his watch, the two establishments performed abysmally. Nevertheless, may his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Do you even know the meaning of runner-up? How does it apply here?

A runner-up is the second person in the party primary, oga!

He decamped to another party

No he didn’t. The runner up is Lucky Igbokwe & he didn’t decamp. All d bigwigs decamped wen they found out d Governor already had an anointed candidate. PDP should just forget it in Abia State when it’s comes to the Governorship election.

If Abians return PDP back to power in the state, it means no more hope in Abia state.

Abia state is one of the state with lack of development and unfortunate governor's ruling them since 1999.

Who wrote this yeye law?

Why do you have to conduct another primary when you have a runner-up?

The second person should replace the deceased immediately!

They said 14 days to conduct a fresh primary, what if the Candidate died 3 days to the election (less than 14 days)?

Yes, because that is the new electoral law. So there must be a rerun. Nothing like the runners-up taking over or going to court.

Abia Charter of Equity was between the Afoikpo zone, Old Aba and Old Bende zones.

Afikpo took the first when Dr Ogbonnaya Onu was elected the first executive governor of the State in the Third Republic. However, before the fourth Republic, the Afikpo Senatorial zone is gone by the creation of Ebonyi State leaving only two zones in the Abia Charter of Equity.

When Orji Uzor Kanu of Old Bende zone with 8 LGAs completed his 8 years, two terms of administration, he was supposed to handover to old Aba zone with 9 LGAs but reneged and handed over to another candidate from same Old Bende, T. A. Orji, making it a 16 years administration of Old Bende with their 8 LGAs while Old Aba has 9 LGAs.

It will be unwise for a zone with 8 LGAs to do 16 years while a zone with 9 LGAs will do 8 years. This is not Equity, it's fraud.

Moreover, Umunneato is Abia Central Zone from where Ikonne emerged and not the same Zone as Dr Ikpeazu's Abia South.

There is no need for fresh primary election. The person who came second in the first primary election should be given the ticket.

And in all honesty Ikpeazu decided to choose Ikonne because his son is married to his daughter?
That your Argument is dead on arrival.
The Senatorial zones are created, chatter of Equity reverses to the effect.
It's NORTH, CENTRAL AND SOUTH....now it's back to North, nobody can stop it
