One of the ways of living a life of Impact begins with identifying a Human need and taking deliberate steps to meet that need. The Aisha Buhari foundation (ABF), Future Assured (FA) led by her Excellency the first lady of Nigeria,Dr Aisha Buhari in collaboration with the prestigious Federal Medical Center, Abuja led by the Chief Medical Director-Prof. Saad Aliyu Ahmed and a team of Foreign and Nigerian Doctors conducted 10 successful open heart surgeries, this surgeries began on the 21st of Jan – 26th Jan,2023.

The 10 open heart surgeries were for very complex cases,who had very slim chances had the surgery not been done. The Foreign team of Doctors led by Prof Oppido Guido from Italy was very delighted and appreciated the opportunity he was given to be part of this project.

For our Nigerian Doctors and medical team, it was a time of great learning and skill transfer.

For the chance given to the children to live healthy and Normal lives, we say thank you to Her Excellency, Dr Aisha Buhari.

For creating an enabling environment and taking conscious steps to indeed make FMC Abuja a world class organisation,we say thank you to our amiable Chief Medical Director, Prof Saad Ahmed.

For the tireless efforts and sleepless nights, we say thank you to the Foreign and Nigerian team who worked hard on this Mission.

Together we will do greater things and achieve feats unimaginable.
