Sometimes Aircrafts are watered when the Pilot is completing his last flight.
I've seen that with Airpeace which is even a Local airline

No they’re not. They’re watered for ceremonial purposes like a new aircraft being commissioned to start flying for the first time

It is mostly common when one of the crew members retires. They normally do that on his or her last flight.

In winter it's also a way to de-ice the plane.
