Misconception

Eye of a needle was translated from Hebrew and it's meant a walk way door on a giant gate

For you to move in you either open the big gate or shed your excess luggage and camel using eye of a needle gate

David, Solomon and a host of others were also rich!

God doesn't hate the rich but hate it when they have surplus stored and doesn't help!

Remember that the rich was given much more for the sake of the poor!

It's the thought that matters in all things

Not necessarily though...

It's hard because of the deceitfulness of riches but not impossible.

Btw, the idea of "the eye of the needle" being represented as something else is not only false but also antichrist. It's an attempt by the covetous and false preachers to water down the meaning of Christ teachings to appease the flesh, thereby making it of no effect because the flesh profits nothing.

It's "the eye of the needle" as we all know it literally, hence the astonishment of the disciples of Christ and others upon hearing that saying.

One thing Organized religion was created to do is to give false hope to the poor in the society.

Kindly read and study the following biblical verses
Yes, Jesus Christ called on His followers to abandon everything they have here on earth in order that they might instead gain treasures in Heaven as a result. He told them this via parables - Matthew 13 vs 42 - 44 - and clearly in His teachings as well. The Narrow Gate — that leads to True Life(Matthew 7 vs 13 - 14) — into the Kingdom of God can only be accessed by those who abandon everything they have, including their livelihood for His sake,
38 Those who will not accept the cross that is given to them when they follow me are not worthy of me.
39 Those who try to keep the life they have will lose it. But those who give up their life for me will find true life. - Matthew 10 vs 38 - 39
Those who give it all up here on earth will acquire treasure in Heaven, is what Jesus Christ taught His followers. undecided
19 “Don’t save treasures for yourselves here on earth. Moths and rust will destroy them. And thieves can break into your house and steal them.
20 Instead, save your treasures in heaven, where they cannot be destroyed by moths or rust and where thieves cannot break in and steal them.
21 Your heart will be where your treasure is. - Matthew 6 vs 19 - 21
So, in Matthew 19, Jesus Christ reassured His followers that all those who abandon everything for His sake — unlike the rich young man who could not let go of all he had— would be made so many times richer in Heaven.
23 Then Jesus said to his followers, “The truth is, it will be very hard for a rich person to enter God’s kingdom.
24 Yes, I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter God’s kingdom.”
25 The followers were amazed to hear this. They asked, “Then who can be saved?”
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “This is something that people cannot do. But God can do anything.”
27 Peter said to him, “We left everything we had and followed you. So what will we have?”
28 Jesus said to them, “When the time of the new world comes, the Son of Man will sit on his great and glorious throne. And I can promise that you who followed me will sit on twelve thrones, and you will judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms to follow me will get much more than they left. And they will have eternal life.
30 Many people who are first now will be last in the future. And many who are last now will be first in the future. - Matthew 19 vs 23 - 30
Jesus Christ promised His disciples that those of them who abandon everything for His sake here on earth will receive so much more than they abandoned in Heaven and here on earth. Clearly, it is not Heaven that is for the poor. undecided

1. Those men you mention were instead of God's Old Covenant which promised instead long life here on earth in the Land of Canaan - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. undecided

2. God's love in Jesus Christ is stored specially for those who obey His teachings and commandments in Jesus Christ, and according to Jesus Christ, it is only those who abandon everything — reputation, career/job/businesses, family, friends, children, spouses, etc — for His sake that will gain entry into the Narrow Gate which leads to True life(Heaven) at the end. All others will not. undecided

So, if your rich men do not obey God, then they do not have his love in Jesus Christ. It is that simple. undecided

The "eye of the needle" Is a reference to the Narrow Gate — a great fraught with difficult rules to obey — through which one had to go through in order to make it eventually into God's Heaven at the end. undecided

As Jesus Christ taught in His Gospel, for example, only those who abandon everything they have — reputation, job/career/businesses, property, family, self, etc. for His sake will enter through the Narrow gate which leads to True Life(Heaven) - Matthew 10 vs 35 - 39. That is akin to entering through the eye of a needle, particularly for those whose very identity and meaning in life are tied to all they possess and own in this world. undecided

I agree with you in a way:

The Lord has anointed me to preach the gospel (good news) to the poor. But what good news do these poor people want other than credit alert. I mean God Almighty saw their poverty but instead of sending a millionaire He sent a preacher. Prayer point: God send my destiny helper, but instead of getting a millionaire, you get a preacher telling you some "good news". Those who rejected Jesus in 29AD ain't so different from those who do so today. They rejected Jesus because he wasn't want they wanted, he didn't take their poverty away. So what is the gospel, this good news? It's a blessing, blessed are the poor, for theirs is the *kingdom of God* . That's it, 😱, not ~money~ , but *God's kingdom* 😃

still means you have to get rid of all the baggages, material things carried before one can enter.

Its funny that even if the rich refuse to do so in life they have to do so at death

given for the sake of the poor, but many accumulate it like the man Jesus gave a parable about who was planning to build a ban instead of giving or helping, who's soul was required of him that night. The parable didn't commend him, neither the parable of the rich man and Lazarus.

Abraham refused to accept the wealth of nations, David must have learnt from Saul who either out of fear or human greed didn't destroy what God deemed to be destroyed.

What did Solomon's wealth lead him to, marry many wives, build many altars of idolatry

If David had no house to rest and walk around would he see Bathseba bathing naked nor kill her husband, even though he had been given he still wanted more.

Because of the strong hold of material things on people Jesus set your mind on things above. Money isn't the problem but the love of money is the root of ALL evil not some, all. Love for material things of this world

I agree, we read things like deceitfulness of riches, unrighteous mammon

Money was painted in a bad light because of what men do with it and what it does to men
