FG and the CBN have succeeded in inciting the masses against the banks. Note that banks are the most regulated institution in the country. CBN knows what each bank branch has in their vaults.

As at now over 90% of bank branches do not have up to 2 million naira in their vaults. Note that an 🏧 needs like 12 million of the new notes to be fully loaded. If those that have 2 million load everything in the machine, it can only pay 100 customers 20k each. This will finish within 2 hours.

CBN told the masses that they give bank branches about 30 million daily but the truth is that some branches get about 4 million for the whole week. They also give money to banks equally according to tiers and not number of branches. Banks that have a branch in a state receives the same amount with banks with many branches in the same state, if they are of the same tier. This makes banks with fewer branches to always have more cash than those with nore branches.

People should channel their grievances to CBN and leave commercial banks and their staff alone

Why are some of your Bank Manager colleagues hiding new notes in Vaults or fraudulently not removing wrappers from new notes loaded in ATM do that it wouldn't dispense?

I am not holding brief for them but the amounts in question are insignificant. They may just be rationing the little they received so there will be activity in there branch until they receive more from the CBN, instead of loading everything once.

6 million lasts just for about 4 hours in the 🏧 and after that, their machine would be shut down for the whole week. If there is enough supply, there would be no need for such rationing.

Must you display your poor home training? The 300 billion new notes printed by CBN is grossly inadequate to replace the trillions of old notes mopped up.

Banks do not print money and customers are not returning money to banks as deposits anymore.

Those men are easily identified in this video that shows them committing a violent robbery in broad daylight and in front of a camera. The police should use this video to trace the perpetrators and then allow them to face their fate in a court of law. This is a clear case of assault and battery during the course of a robbery. The criminals deserve jail for this crime they are carrying out under the idiotic presumption that this female bank employee should be attacked because the CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA is starving banks of funds deliberately.

Everything is not arrest arrest let them solve the root cause of the problem. Which is the banks and the managers they sell the money to highest bidders, POS dealers , money changers and leave a meager sum for the populace

Until your sister is handled this way for something she knows nothing about. CBN's 300 billion new notes is not enough for the trillions they mopped up.

The alleged amount being hoarded by the few bad elements can't even sustain an 🏧 for 6 hours. They should channel their frustrations to the CBN and leave the innocent bankers that are being overworked

The "root cause" of the cash shortage in Nigeria is the blockage of new currency distribution by the CBN Central Bank of Nigeria. That situation is beyond the power of ANY bank's regional branch office to resolve therefore assaulting bank officials is punishable as the felony assault and battery crime that now SCREAMS for legal retribution in the court of law.

The deranged mob assault by multiple cowardly men against a single defenseless woman MUST be punished by a custodial sentence behind bars after a fair trial. Any claim of ignorance by those criminals with respect to the REAL cause for the cash deficit in Nigeria right now, is completely irrelevant to the felony assault and aggravated robbery charges they must be SEEN to face, now that the entire frigging WORLD has seen the faces of these predatory individuals attacking and robbing an innocent woman with obvious delight.

Law enforcement agencies such as the DSS and DMI can easily track and apprehend the perpetrators of that heinous robbery targetting an innocent woman under the most idiotic of pretexts.

The facts and figures you've been kind enough to quote strongly hint at a background in the banking industry's upper managerial strata. These CBN cash volume delivery rates show a vulnerability in the fiscal policy of Nigeria which never merited consideration prior to the onset of the current nationwide debacle. Ironically the use of mobile banking apps has exploded in Nigeria during the unfolding cash crisis that has already seen several banks torched by angry mobs largely composed of technophobes and ignramuses reluctant to embrace electronic banking.
