It must be noted that no cash was “stashed” in the vault of the regional office, and for emphasis, Sterling Bank has complied with all the guidelines on the distribution of redesigned notes from inception to date.

We are neither gas-filled objects nor criminals, as such there was no "busting."

Also, the monitoring team observed that the bank's Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) were dispensing all denominations of the newly designed banknotes, and customers were also withdrawing cash Over-The-Counter in accordance with stipulated pronouncements.

Reminds me of a story of some Policemen sent to protect defaced Naira notes meant to be destroyed. They got there and one of them fainted when he saw Naira notes being destroyed.

ICPC should focus on banks trading the new currency such as Zenith, Access and recently UBA staffs. The whole stuff has turned into a business enterprise for bankers. Zenith bank for instance has been enjoying the privilege of Emefiele who is a product of zenith.

How can u have 250m in your vaults while u receive 30m per day from CBN if there's no intentions of hoarding and selling it to politicians.
