There is no alarm. They didn't loan them those buildings. So they don't owe China anything. If China loan you money, you definitely have to pay back. They can't just let you walk away with their loan. Every loan involves signing of documents clearly stipulating the terms. That's how it's supposed to be.

I don't know where you got the news that it was a spy camera from.
A Chinese made surveillance camera automatically means it is a spy camera to you, while that of the u.s is not a spy camera.

China, which also paid and built the computer network at the AU, allegedly inserted a backdoor (in French) that allowed it to transfer data. The first question should be; how many mega infrastructure did the colonial UK, France and US build in Africa for free? Not the ones built with our own resources during colonial era.

USAID, UKAID, are good for Africa, Chinese gifts are not to be trusted? Western credits with conditions such as LGBT+ rights and exclusive rights to dictate our foreign policies are okay, but Chinese loans repayable over 2-5 decades on modest interests are bad!!

The typical African does not pay his debts, no matter the good will given. China should just walk away from debts owed to it that are legitimate and time bound?

True, no foreign power gives gifts without a motive, China inclusive, but China’s motive is clear for all to see, pure business. China does not care about your foreign policy, it does not care about your religion, it does not care about your way of life. It’s not it’s business who you sleep with. It simply wants business and more business. Reason for the belt and silk project.
