The fear of an Abacha holding any post ever in Nigeria is scary.

Its just like giving a direct descendant of Adolf Hilter a sensitive position.

Abba Gida gida of NNPP will likely emerge

His goal is the presidency, that fucking animal.

Atiku is always contradicting himself, how can you promise agricultural revolution and open borders at the same time? If the borders are wide open and all sorts of things are smuggled into the Country, where are you going to get your agric revolution from?

If what is produced inside is sufficient and cheaper, it won't matter if the borders are opened.
Closing the borders was buhari first mistake. Price for food went high and hasn't gone down since then

please go and read about agriculture both national and international. You can't close border and make it in agriculture. There certain equipment you need for commercial agriculture and if you can't bring them in, then there is a problem. Find out if other countries do close their border just to make it in agriculture. Atiku is our best bet

This one is clearly empty-headed as regards the economic workings of any society. The way Tinubu supporters reason, you'll begin to wonder if they're specially handpicked for their ability to propagate idiocy on a grand scale.

So any society with open international borders cannot achieve agricultural revolution which translates to economic development? You're just daft!

Does it mean that countries like Ukraine, Netherlands, Thailand with Agriculture contributing significant chunk of the GDP and foreign exchange all have their borders closed?

Is that how you reason?

Nawa for this your Agbado economy

If you don't know anything about economy and how it works, is it not better u just keep shut, so to you now, for you to have an agricultural revolution now, u must close borders, and once border is opened, who told u that importation through land borders is automatically called smuggling. Buhari that closed borders, is foreign rice not being smuggled by the day...when last did you buy local rice from the market...how about the government empowers the local farmers and ensure we are self sufficient in food production first then discourage importation of foreign foods by imposing huge import tariffs on foreign food, by so doing, the price difference between local products and foreign products will be so high and while the average and below average Nigerians patronise local products, the rich people can patronise the foreign food and make more money for the government. It will be a win win for the government, the farmers and the citizens.

Naija what is your problem? You think opening of borders is detrimental to agriculture in Nigeria? Think again. Importation of foreign rice for example doesn't affect our local rice production, our problem is that the government has not equipped the farmers our farming tools. Local rice is richer in nutrients many people know that but will the govt provide adequate refining machine?
Closing borders will only make price of commodities to skyrocket but good govt policy will tackle the menace.

You are a fool. Countries that open borders are already industrialized in every sectors, there products can compete with any other in the World. Do you think Nigerian agric sector can compete with India or Thailand without government intervention as it is presently?
