Durban: Police sources in Durban say that a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night resulted in the death of rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes. Another person who is thought to be AKA's bodyguard was also injured, and another unidentified person who is thought to be a close friend of AKA was shot and killed. IOL independently confirmed the details of the shooting from well-placed police sources, who could not be named because they are not permitted to speak to the media. This was done prior to provincial police confirming the incident. Later, a spokesperson for the police, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, confirmed that two murder cases were being investigated by the police, but that the motives for the murders had not yet been determined.
