Three more states have joined a legal battle against the Federal Government over the controversial CBN Currency Swap policy which has led to a severe Naira Scarcity in the Country.

POLITICS NIGERIA has learned that the Governments of Bayelsa, Rivers and Sokoto will be joining as co-plaintiffs in a suit filed by the governments of Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara states. The states are opposing the February 10 deadline for the currency swap policy on the grounds that it was inflicting suffering on their citizens.

Kano and Ondo had earlier joined the three states, which filed the suit number SC/CV/162/2023 at the Supreme Court.

The Bayelsa State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Biriyai Dambo, confirmed that Bayelsa will be filing a joinder application to be part of the lawsuit.

The Sokoto State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Usman Sulaiman, stated that the state may join the lawsuit based on the resolutions made at the Nigerian Governors Forum.

“There is a possibility of Sokoto State joining the suit based on the resolutions of the Nigerian Governors Forum. I have written to the governor on the next step and presently awaiting his response which will determine what to do from our end,” he disclosed.

The Rivers State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Zacchaeus Adangor, confirmed that the state will be joining the lawsuit, but declined to give a timeline.

However, the state governor, Nyesom Wike confirmed that the state would join the suit. he made the revelation on Wednesday while speaking at the County State School, Emilaghan in Central Abua, the venue of Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party campaign flag-off rally in Abua/Odual Local Government Area.

He said the intervention of the Supreme Court was timely because some elements were bent on derailing the democratic process.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotosho, confirmed that the state will likely join the lawsuit as it is a matter of true federalism and equity and justice.

“The Lagos State Government will likely join in the suit because it is about true federalism; it is about equity and justice. It is about everything that we cherished. It is about values. So we may likely join.”

Buhari is on his way out. Why didn't they try this nonsense in 2019? grin

Why didn't they drag him to court over failure to secure Nigeria?

Why didn't they drag him to court over poor economy?

Why didn't El-Rufai drag him to court over banditry in Kaduna?

ASUU went on strike for almost a year and they were busy posting pictures taken with their graduating children abroad. Gbajabiamila who's now threatening emefiele even posted a picture where he was receiving lectures at havard.

Now that they don't have access to cash to rig elections , they're barking like dogs, they suddenly became the masses advocate.

These people don't love you, dear voters. We're the reason Nigeria is this backward cos of our bad choices. We were warned of buhari which tinubu went and picked. Election is here again, vote wisely. When you go to market, you don't get best prices of commodities based on your tribe. We buy at uniform prices so, shun sentiments or you wail for another 4 years.

Where's the 3m jobs annually which they promised you in 2015?

Where's the improved Healthcare?

Where's is security? Na you dey travel by road, not them.

Enough said.

Most of them are Pro Tinubu Governors.

They know vote Buying is Tinubu's last hope.

As Many Nigerians thinks Tinubu is a comedian and an artist like portable.

If voters are not induced, Tinubu is the most hated candidate, and can't win in a free and credible election.

Vote buying must be curbed extensively.

*I Warned My People of Their Foolishness! My Dad is Yoruba and my Mum is Igbo. So, I many times have reason to speak to both sides because I love both my Bloodlines so much.*

This is how their mumu started:

1- Nnamdi Kanu directed them to burn their PVCs, calling Nigeria is a zoo and that they should not participate in the elections. They religiously obliged and burnt their PVCs.

2- Suddenly, Peter Obi left PDP and joined LP. Then boom, all his sins have been washed away and he became SAINT PETER.

3- Nigeria is no longer a zoo but a country that they love dearly more than the rest of us.

4- Nnamdi Kanu stopped talking about Biafra restoration and IPOB movement from his Kuje mansion.

5- They then make a promise to themselves, a promise that "they want to teach Tinubu a lesson. That they want to take over Lagos state and show the Yoruba's that they (the Igbos) are the dominant tribe in Lagos (this is actually the most hilarious part of the whole comedy to me)

6- As the countdown to the general elections approaches, they started thronging enmass into Lagos state, just to make good their threat of taking over Lagos and teaching Tinubu a lesson.

7- This is their greatest undoing: majority of them had previously burnt their PVCs, in accordance with the order of their supreme leader. Instead of them to apply for transfer of polling units on arriving Lagos, they approached INEC and applied for fresh PVCs.

8- INEC detected and flagged their new applications as double registrations and consequently cancelled them.

9- Realizing the foolishness of their plot and it's failure, they started an online petition and started signing it, that Lagos INEC REC be sacked. Another docile political move, dead on arrival.

10- *What next:* after their humiliating defeat come Feb 25th, they shall go back to their usual cry of injustice, marginalisation and victimization again. To them, Nigeria would return to being a zoo. Their previously lost voice for Biafra republic would rise again and they shall pick up weapons through IPOB, ESN and possibly other means against the Nigerian state again.

May God save us from hypocrites amongst us and chat a just course for Nigeria through which prosperity shall abound..

Uche Nwachukwu.
