The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab has charged the 2023 Batch A Stream 1 Corps Members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos State to embrace the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Post Camp training as soon as they report at their various places of primary assignment and state of redeployment.

Abdulwahab, who commended the Corps Members for their committment, discipline and overall good conduct, urged them to accept their postings in good faith reiterating the Scheme's commitment to the development and effective utilisation of the Corps Members. She assured them that their postings have been done inline with the prescribed posting policies of the Scheme and the felt needs of the State.

She enjoined them to settle down at their PPA and strive to mobilise human and capital resources to add value to their host communities. According to her, it is easier for Corps Members to mobilise the aforementioned to meet the felt needs of their communities than for members of the community to do so. She therefore urged them to work individually and as a group towards bettering the lives of the people by addressing felt needs in the area.

Abdulwahab, while debriefing the Corps Members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, on Monday, informed them of the routine inspection by the Scheme's management and warned that on no account should Corps Members be found wanting in their PPA and Community Development Service Group.

"Please as you go to your PPA comport yourselves and don't engage in illicit acts. Do not make trouble in your host communities. Respect the customs and views of the people. Stay out of trouble.

" When you get to your PPA you may be accepted or rejected. Don't panic, we have you covered. Report to your Local Government Inspector with your acceptance or rejection letter. " Consequently, she enlightened them on what to do when faced with either of the cases.

Furthermore, She urged them to adhere to the new development in the Country by been very prudent with their spending. She implored them to continue to exhibit good moral values. "I appreciate you all for adhering to all the regimented rules and regulations of the Camp".

She emphasized that it is compulsory that they take their identity cards with them wherever they are going during the service year. In furtherance, she enlightened them on the modus operandi for engaging in the biometrics exercise. She reiterated: "You must be punctual at your PPA , take part in every CDS Activities. You must do your biometrics to earn your monthly allowance.

" In fact, failure to collect your monthly allowance attracts sanction as it is an indication that you were not on ground for the affected month. Therefore, be very careful don't do anything that will attract the Scheme's stick to you".

Conclusively, she said: "On a lighter note God Almighty will grant all your heart desires and bless you all with a wonderful partner". She appreciated Corps Members dislodged from Lagos State for integrating well with their Osun counterpart and for their active participation and outstanding conduct during the Orientation Course. She prayed Godspeed for them as they return back to their State of deployment and for all members as they leave the Orientation camp for their respective destinations.

In related development, the Assistant Director Corps Inspection and Monitoring, Mrs Adesina Omoboade introduced the four zonal inspectors, namely: Osogbo, Ilesa, Ife and Ikirun zones, and also the inspectors in charge of the 30 local government areas and area office to the Corps Members for the purpose of familiarisation.

The debriefing also featured presentation of certificates of commendation to the three Corps Camp Directors, over all parade commander and the assistant overall parade commander.
