The G5 Governors who like to call themselves the Integrity group are the most selfish self serving individuals right now and here is why.

The G5 Governors claim they are all for equity and they do not want a Northerner succeeding another Northerner but the same Governors are doing (have done) the same thing they seem to stand against.

Nyesome Wike an Ikwerre man succeeded another Ikwerre man (Amaechi) as Governor of Rivers State, where was the equity then? Seyi Makinde from Ibadan took over from late Governor Abiola Ajimobi after eight years, Ajimobi was also from Ibadan, where was the equity? Governor Ortom from Makurdi/Guma Federal constituency is going for senate in Benue zone B, a position everyone has rightly said belongs to Gwer East/Gwer West federal constituency as Makurdi/Guma were the last beneficiaries when the senate seat went to the Minda axis, where is the equity?

Would Wike be crying like a starved baby if the VP slot was given to him? Wike and his friend Ortom threw away the suggestion for micro zoning to the South East in a political move aimed at clearing the way for Wike's emergence as the Presidential candidate, yet the same Wike is crying foul when Tambuwal in a tactical political move threw his weight behind Atiku and Okowa (also in a tactical political move) ensured He Okowa got the VP slot.

Wike and his aides (the other G4) shout equity without telling us the following truths:

1. Was the last PDP President a Northerner?
2. Between the South and North, who has held the Presidency post 1999 longer?
3. Post 1999, the NW has had two Presidents and one VP
4. Post 1999, the SW has had one President and one VP
5. Post 1999, the SS has had one President and one VP
6. Post 1999, the NE has had one VP
7. Post 1999, the NC has had no President and no VP
8. Post 1999, the SE has had no President and no VP

So what equity is Wike and his gang fighting? If truly Wike and his band of brothers was fighting for the right thing to be done, shouldn't they be talking about a SE/NC President and VP? Between Wike's romance with Tinubu (from the SW who have had President & VP before now) and his fight with Atiku (NE who have had only the VP), who amongst the two will satisfy equity?

The G5 Governors are the most un-tactical political players in this dispensation.

It is this kind of argument that made Atiku look foolish in the eyes of everyone even Northerners
