The scripture said he ate nothing during the 40 day fast. It never said, he drank nothing.

I can imagine how some folks have unnecessarily harmed themselves when embarking on an uninformed fast.

Can we get any reference to you assertion?

He died out of his ignorant to claim a point. Before Jesus fasted 40 days and nights Moses fasted also 40 days and nights. These people didn't fast to prove a point but to build their spirituality.

I totally agree with the guy over me. Funny thing is, he died not having a clue about what he was doing that killed him. Many more will die senselessly trying to self promote their selves to the 'Elijah' status. I would rather let God's grace be my prayer and expectation rather than die as a victim of a carnal exercise.
