I saw this on a man's Facebook post and I felt I should share it here.

One day, An Igbo man will rule Lagos. And A Yoruba Man will rule Anambra. And a Yoruba man will rule Kano. And a Kastina man will rule Oyo.

Everyday, you claim you want Nigeria to be like Canada, USA, UK, AUSTRALIA, SWEEDEN, CHINA and other developed countries. But you are limiting your thought processes and have refused to adopt a lot of the pathways these countries adopted to be where they presently are.

Today, many Nigerians will vow never to allow anyone from a different state either win election in their state, govern their state or even get appointments in their state.

I saw how Africans especially blacks including people of Nigeria joined the "black lives matter" protest. And many who have never visited Nigeria will think Nigeria is a free country where freedom of expression is fully respected.

But dear tribalists and religious bigots, the aforementioned countries you want us to emulate are free countries. They are countries where everyone from different race who are eligible to participate fully in elections can contest and win elections there.

Nigerians has won tens of elective position in America, Canada, UK, USA, Australia and lots more. Many Nigerians has been appointed into key political and economic positions in these countries too. These fortune and freedom is not limited to only Nigerians in these countries, other countries' national has benefited too in these countries.

One day, In Nigeria, a different tribe man will rule a different state. Tribalists and religious bigots thinks it is not possible. But it will surely happen.

A Kenyan successfully ruled America for 8-years. And presently UK is being govern by an Indian as prime minister. A some day, Other African countries nationals who are eligible will take elective positions in Nigeria. And Nigerians too will do same over there.

And just like it didn't matter which religion govern those countries, especially in UK, it will not matter which religion govern Nigeria in any state. It may not happen in our generation, but it will happen soonest.

When it does, guess who will be the ultimate losers?

Tribalists and religious bigots.

Why will a Yoruba man want to rule Anambra when Anambra People are there to rule themselves?

Military administrators ruled states they didn't live in or speak the languages, so I don't see why anyone should be prevented from governing a state they have lived in and understood the problem they're trying to solve

Fóolish people who doesn't know what settler colonies is. People of Africa are indigenous people to their space, for all those you mentioned their to happen, you would have exterminate the Yorubas, Igbos in their natural land to have that setting. All above countries like USA, Australia , where are the indigenous people of those spaces?


UK deserved to be a Settler colony because because they colonized almost half of the world. Why didn't you mention South Korea ,Japan , Russia as example. U people don't read.

lol, don't mind Igbos. They don't respect differences, that is why they think Yoruba is like them... Unity in diversity is the greatest scam quote.. Unity in respecting each other differences by practicing system of government that fits that kind of our structure in Fraudgeria.

Nigerias unity is none existent. If you have not yet grown to see each other as one since 1960, come back in 200 years, you will still not see each other as one

Brotherhood and nationhood is anchored on justice, equity, fairness and respect, all of which are lacking in Nigeria

So how will ever live each other? We should be talking about disintegration and not about upholding the failed colonial project of the British called Nigeria
