The recent redesign of Nigeria’s currency, particularly the Naira notes, has led to a shortage of cash, causing hardship for many Nigerians. In response to this problem, the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, recently made an announcement on his official Twitter page.

The governor’s statement indicated that the Ogun State Government would be taking action against any corporation or store in the state that refuses to accept old Naira notes as payment for goods and services.
