Is this a law in Nigeria that citizens should automatically pay for election levy? I just opened my first bank app and they charged me N200 for election transfer levy. Note that I did not make any transfer. Money was deposited into my account and the "levy" was deducted from it. |

ojehmario1969:see how you just shot yourself on your foot. The electronic charges are for transactions done between 12th january 2023 to 6th february 2023. That means, in that time frame, you recieved 7 transactions from 10k and above. This shows that alot of nigerians lack comprehension skills. Even the op, with all her beauty cannot comprehend and read and ask questions from the right source rather than coming to social media to embarrass yourselves. 2 Likes |

Queendera: The charges are ridiculous like I said. In my case, what I see for every transaction whether debit or credit is three to four different charges. They are electronic transfer levy, vat, electronic something ( I can't remember this again). This is what occurs in my GT bank and Polaris. I remembered I complained of this to GT but I didn't get a reply. How can one receive all these charges for electronic transfer and we say we are encouraging cashless policy. Meanwhile if I carry out the same transactions physically at the bank, I would not be charged. |

Queendera: Let's stop acting ignorant. We were all here when CBN passed the law to debit one 50 naira on all inflow higher than 10k. Based on the screenshot the other guy uploaded, can't u see it was batched? That is from a date to another date. What the person is meant to do is to review her transaction inflow for the period and confirm if it tallies with the period. Make we no de act like say we be 10 years old whe just de use banking services. 1 Like |
