Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, concluded his campaign rally in Lagos State on Tuesday.


However, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was not in attendance at any of the rallies held across the country by Tinubu.

The absence of Osinbajo from Tinubu’s campaign rallies is believed to be connected to their differences during the APC presidential primaries in 2022.

When asked about Osinbajo’s absence, Festus Keyamo, the spokesman of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign, explained that it was due to a directive from President Muhammadu Buhari. Keyamo recalled that Buhari had issued a statement directing Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, to abstain from the APC presidential campaigns and focus on their work. “We released a statement last year to this effect,”
