Hello guys y'all should be careful oo. These scammers have invented a new way to scam people on WhatsApp without them suspecting.

It seems the trick is really working for them, because they are so clever in it. You won't suspect.

The scam happens on WhatsApp TV

Most of the people running WhatsApp TV are scammers as I have noticed and they don't represent the people on the profile pictures they use.

Recently I joined three WhatsApp TVs, I blocked one. But was getting updates from the other two.

They post motivational quotes, entertainment and porn at the end of the day. They make their updates so interesting and informative. But be careful na scammers them be.

After like one week or two of posting and connecting with their contacts. They will post the photos below. Mind you they use photos of beautiful girls and their videos too and you won't suspect.

The main scam

They will post banner of them participating in a beauty pageant that requires your support and votes.

They will beg votes from all their contacts asking them to send their votes via mail.

After few days of disturbing the contacts to votes they will declare them selves winners of the pageant we all supported.

They will say they have won the prize of 20 Million Naira and then promise to give back to the contacts. They will say they will be giving 10 million as give away for they massive support they have received during the pageant.

Note this is organised in a way that you will believe it if you are not careful.

Where the scam comes in

They will ask you to send any amount you can to gain trust. That whatever you send will be sent back to you in double.

They will start sharing different screen shots of people sending 50k and getting 100k, 20k to get 40k etc.

It keeps going on for days before you know the WhatsApp TV is gone.

So guys be careful and don't be desperate, these scammers are very wise.

This scam doesn't even make any sense. I'm struggling to understand the daftness of it.

How can you win N20M, then promise to share N10M, and then start asking for money to double it?

For your information, no full-blooded Nigerian will win a large amount of money and give half to strangers.

Nigerians naturally no dey give shishi.

Anyone who falls for this foolishness deserves to be offered as a sacrifice to Ogun.

Reading the scam format alone is stressful. Now imagine how stressed the person organizing the scam will be

I've falling victim of it, but is it that they can't be traced or what? I thought all mobile numbers were supposed to be linked with NIN? So if someone falls victim there's no way in recovering your money again?
Asking if there's anything I can do about it to see if I can get the person track down and recover my money.
I have the phone number, even bank account I sent the money to, there's no way someone can be traced?
Pls I need response.
Thanks.
