In the last two election that brought Buhari into government, my useless neighbor was involved in cooking food which APC shared to voters on the election day. They mortgaged their 8years of suffering for a plate of food. May affliction never rise the second time. APC signifies affliction.

One thing you won't Obi doing is stock piling votes. Nigerians, please be wise we don't know the heart of men but at least we know who is better amongst the lot. Atiku and Tinubu are bred from this corrupt politics for ages and have not yet shown signs of staying away from it. Nigeria need a young leader with morden ideas not old men who are way past retirement age. Come out en mass and vote for Obi and our country will be way better than the previous 8 years and beyond

Absolute rubbish. We will soon hear politicians stockpiling women or young girls. The nation is bleeding on all fronts and someone is vomiting this thrash. Who told you that cash is paramount in election that we are being diminished like this. It is very bad.

This is one of the reasons, politicians try to keep the masses poor. In times like this, even 5k will make a poor man, sell his soul.

No vote buying. Old notes are useless right now.

Only a compound fool will sell his votes with the old notes.

A new Nigeria is possible.

Peter Obi is coming
But oshiomole has told them to keep the money, that after elections they will revoke reverse the policy.

Rubbish. The citizens are in crisis. No cash and they are being advised to stock pile consumables for election.

You think this useless hoarding of cash by CBN will affect our fantastically corrupt politicians. They will devise another way.

Either way Obi Will never win.
Tinubu will die on that seat.
Atiku will join Tinubu.

We need a neutral Nigerian as President not this set of recycled thieves

You for contest na..

the divide and rule game is working for the North.
because most Southerners are too brainless to see that Tinubu is the only realistic Option if they will ever get Fulanis to leave Power. All the myopic Southerners are doing is only helping Buhari to make Fualnis Atiku to win. They rather do Coup than hand over Power to Obi.

Yeah true.... But you know corruption fights back! It's a real right step from PMB !
whoever crashed in this idea deserves a national award. I once| wrote a piece about intelligence officers either taken decision or advising it during an operation. It's always high impact

Kudos to the IOs who expose and hatch this plan

if you haven't deposited your old notes, you must keep it because no one is going to accept it from you... It's useless right now. No one in his right senses would accept old notes in exchange for votes right now.

A new Nigeria is possible.

The truth is that the old naira is still a legal tender technically. You can't use it to buy goods and services but you can still deposit same in your bank via CBN. The POS guys here in my area still receive the old notes because they can send it to the bank. So vote buying with the old notes is still very possible.

Thank you!

I haven't been 100% certain that the move will curb vote-buying from the start. I was almost having a heated argument with someone on this two days ago until I decided to let them bask in their "wisdom."

Some market women are even accepting the old notes around here. The condition is just that you won't be getting change - you have to buy something worth the old note you give them. Of course, you may also pay higher than if you were using "legal" notes.
