You probably have come across a message that is going viral asking people to stock their homes before Saturday as the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN plans to shut down all financial transactions from February 23 to February 27 to forestall vote buying during the elections.

This is a piece of fake news.

The CBN already debunked the message on Wednesday.
