3 Parties Call for Re-Election: INEC Chairman Should Step Aside

Politianment.net reports that the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure, PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and ADC counterpart, Ralph Nwosu, made the demand at a press conference in Abuja.

However, the party leaders claimed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) manipulated Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

And this is by failing to upload results electronically on the commission’s Results Viewing Portal (IReV) at polling units. This was the agreement INEC made.

Abure spoke on behalf of the LP, PDP, and ADC. He stated that:

“This election is not free and far from being fair,” and alleging that there are “ongoing cancellations of results from areas of strength of the opposition parties”.

On the other hand, the LP, PDP, and ADC declared a vote of no confidence on INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.
