Who can explain these two statements to us assuming FCT [ This is an assumption]?

1. Have 25% in 24 States out of 36 and FCT
2. Have 25% in 24 States out of 36 and THE FCT

FCT is not a state but a federal capital territory.

That is why it does not have a Governor but a minister.

The constitution made it clear that a winner of presidential election must have 25% IN 2/3 of the 36 states and 25% in Abuja (FCT)

This is to demonstrate a wide spread acceptability of the candidate.

So in essence, the winner must have 25% in 24 states(this is twothird of 36 states) and should also have 25% in Abuja being the Federal Capital Territory.

Meaning even if a candidate makes 25% in 30 states, he must still make 25% in Abuja being a federal capital and not a state.
