The declaration of Chief Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress(APC), as the winner of the 2023 presidential election, on Wednesday,
by Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has sparked mixed reactions across the country.

While APC supporters were celebrating, many citizens described the declaration as "a pyrrhic victory," according to many, may affect the nation's democracy.

Some respondents said "allegations of massive rigging recorded in some voting and collation centers may lead to voter apathy and lack of confidence in future elections."

Some opposition parties and critics described the election as a sham and an embarrassment.

Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Labour Party(LP) and a few other parties called called for the cancellation of the result.

The highly-contested exercise has been widely criticized for alleged irregularities by prominent citizens, international monitoring groups and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

Some states also witnessed protests and violence over the allegations of electoral malpractice.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, National Peace Committee, opposition parties and several international monitoring groups criticized the process, due to incidences of violence, delays and manipulations, thus disenfranchised many voters, in some parts of the country.

Obasanjo in a letter, which he personally signed and read, called on President, Muhammadu Buhari, to urge the INEC Chairman, Prof. Yakubu, to suspend the announcement of results and address the concerns by the electorate.

Thabo Mbeki, a former president of South Africa said "INEC needs to correct the things that need to be corrected."

Similarly, several international observer groups United States(US), European Union(EU), Civil Society Organizations(CSOs) and the Common Wealth criticized the polls, which witnessed a large turnout of youths and first time voters.

Protests rocked some areas in Ekiti, Bayelsa, Edo, Rivers, Lagos states and Abuja, for alleged rigging, delays by INEC officials and vote-buying at several polling units.

Peter Obi contested on party without structure and won fairly enough.

Let it be known that the stolen mandate will be recovered, it happened thrice in Anambra and it will happen again this time at federal level.

Don't panic yet Obidients,Peter Obi has always won miraculously when it seems impossible!!!
