It is no longer news that the All-Progressive Congress (APC) candidate in the 2023 Nigeria General Election has been declared the presidential election winner.

This thread will look at the 2023 presidential election using Rivers State as a case study. The Election in rivers State can best be described as “The Establishment vs The Masses”.

The elections started very peacefully, with a significant turnout of voters, especially youths eager to take back their nation. But as the results began to churn out, showing the candidate of the Labour Party taking a comfortable lead with wide margins in rivers state, Hell was let loose.

Before now, the current Governor, Nyesom Wike, has, in a leaked conversation, informed LGA chairs and his loyalist to deliver the votes for Rivers State to the All Progressive Congress (APC) against the wish of the masses, who were all eager to vote for Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour party.

Before this, Wike had earlier appointed over 28,000 Special Assistants for various political units in State to perfect his rigging plan, which they successfully did, and APC was declared the winner.

But it’s not yet Uhuru for “The Establishments” because the Masses are ready to recover their stolen mandate.

It might take a long walk, but this will begin a new order in Rivers State and Nigeria.

OBIO/AKPOR

Obio Akpor is a local government area in Rivers State with a record of having the highest registered voters in the state, with over 1,000 polling units. It is also the LGA of the current governor Nyesom Wike.

Elections in Rivers and other southern states in Nigeria are known to be marred by violence, with politicians coming with thugs who intimidate voters, hijack ballot boxes and result sheets, and write fake results for INEC to announce. However, with the introduction of the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS), the narrative was expected to change, as it would checkmate these politicians and prevent them from rigging the elections.

In an interview, Amaechi explained how BIVAS would work to ensure a free and fair election.

Fortunately, before WIKE's thugs could cause havoc, 80% of the results from the polling units in Obio Akpor were already uploaded on iREV.

By examining the results ward by ward and polling unit by polling unit, it is visibly clear that the Labour Party (LP) won in Obio Akpor, from the presidency to the House of Representatives and Senate. With APC having less than 10%, But guess what INEC announced?
