A top campaigner of Peter Obi and the Labour Party, Aisha Yesufu, on Saturday said the party is not overly concerned about the electronic transmission of election results because it is aware that it is not compulsory.

Yesufu, however, said the Labour Party will approach the court to interrogate the collation of “the actual votes of the people” which she said is “mandatory”.

“The claim that electronic transmission of election results is not mandatory is true, but collating the actual votes of the people is mandatory and that is what we are asking for,” Yesufu wrote on her verified Twitter handle.

The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) had earlier said it had collated enough evidence to prove that the Labour Party candidate won last week’s presidential election in Nigeria. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) president-elect.

Responding to the APC, which said on Friday that there is no law making it mandatory for the electoral body to transmit electoral results electronically, Yesufu lamented that votes at many Polling Units across Nigeria were allegedly upturned against the Labour Party.

Tinubu stole our mandate, but the only thing we will tell him is "Delay is not denial.

We sane Nigerians have only one thing to tell Tinubu,"Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Fingers crossed 💯

Social media collated results? She should go to social media tribunal too and perhaps finally to social media supreme court.

The woman looks like she has bad breath and body odour. She’s another rogue posing as a saviour because Nigerians are mostly gullible with herd mentality.

Nigerian youths urgently need a reorientation - these clowns can’t lead any true movement that would effect a change. They’re mostly paid agents by western countries and opportunists - who are preying on poorly educated/exposed Nigerians. Nothing about them is organic and people driven - they also have vested interests.

Tinubu isn’t a saint and he’s old but he’s way better than Obi. Know that and know peace.

One bright lawyer, not two, would make a mince meat of INEC. I see God using Obi to dismantle the network of crooks ruling Nigeria and giving the country back to the people the way He used him in Anambra.

Lol... Those evidence can never stand in court.

They shot themselves in the foot by not having polling agents. In most of the PU na random obidients sign the result sheets. I don't know how they wan defend that in court.

If they had agents manning all the pu's in Nigeria their situation room would have collate results properly. cheesy Their SR started working with wrong data right from the very start. Amateurs.

The bulk of documentary evidence to be tendered in court will be from INEC. All the pictures flying all over social media have nuisance value.

It is INEC result sheets that will be tendered. Nobody gives a fvck about pictures flying fvck over social media.

It is the incidence forms from INEC that will be tendered to prove disruption at polling units. No one gives a fvck about audio clips transferred around.

INEC BVAS that will be tendered and synchronized by INEC.

It is for this reason that INEC is always made a party to an election petition.

The new law on over voting is cancellation of places where over voting occurred. I see Labour Party's votes in Lagos cancelled because there appears to be over voting in local governments they won.

The case against electronic transmission will be dismissed because there's no where in the electoral act that electronic transmission is mandated or even mentioned. What is mentioned is "transmission" which is used to mean transfer.

The opposition has no case. Atiku seems to have conceded although he was runner up.
