The Labour Party has expressed its intention to challenge the result in a competent court. The vice presidential candidate of the labour party, Datti Baba-Ahmed, disclosed this at a press briefing held in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to him, the election did not meet the minimum standard as prescribed by the Electoral Act (2022).

The challenge to the election result is a bold move by the Labour Party. However, Tinubu’s victory has been widely celebrated by his supporters and the APC party faithful.

Also, the Labour Party is determined to ensure that the election was conducted in a free and fair manner. And that the results reflect the will of the people.

However, it remains to be seen how the court will respond to the challenge. But the Labour Party is hopeful that justice will prevail.

That is the way to go. We are waiting for the judges who will discountenance these mountain of evidence that will serve as exhibits at the courts while the whole world watches.

The cases will be followed with keen interest to the letter. There will be no retreat, there will be no surrender. The stolen votes must be returned from Kogi to Rivers, to Lagos to Benue, to all states.

I will advise Labour party department of communication to pay international media agencies to keep track of the court proceedings as it goes on. The matter must be kept in the front burner so that people don't lose interest and allow the Judges subvert justice.
