jenti: Why would you want to buy a Hp Slate when it isn't going to be compatible with the upcoming Windows 8? The Slate's resolution (1024 x 600) is too low to take advantage of Windows 8's metro interface which needs a higher res as a minimum. Buy a Samsung Series 7 slate instead. It's Win 8 compatible and vastly more powerful than the Slate. Core i5 vs Intel Atom  PS: I'm not trying to sell anything to you, just handing out advice. Alternately you could get the Acer iconia Tab W500. Same price as the HP Slate, comes with a keyboard dock and will run WIndows 8 Metro. |

jenti: I don't sell these but I'm just recommending based on my knowledge. The Samsung series 7 slate is more expensive than the Hp slate or the Acer iconia W500 because it's got more powerful hardware. We're talking about 4GB RAM, 64 or 128 GB SSD, Intel HD 3000 GPU and a Core i5 processor. When revealing Windows 8 to the press, Microsoft ran it on this same Samsung tablet. Ran pretty fast. Only downside is the cost.
