I hate pretense and i can no longer stand the hypocrisy and wickedness amongst Pentecostalists. I admire the Muslims and their dedication to uphold the the values (neatness, humility, honesty etc) central to Islam. I want to learn and practise islam and I have a few questions.

What do I need?
Do I need to learn Arabic?
Can I learn on my own or do I need a mentor?

Whatever advice will be gratefully appreciated.

- Believe that the Holy Quran is the literal word of God, revealed by Him.

- Believe that the Judgment Day (Resurrection Day) is true and will come.

- Believe in the prophets that God sent and the books He revealed, and in His angels.

- Accept Islam as his/her religion.

- Not worship anything nor anyone except God.

You don't need to learn arabic at all, its good to know arabic as a Muslim buh its not compulsory... No, one cannot learn on his/her own na, find an imam, Islamic scholar,or any friend of yours that is a Muslim for guidance..

Maasha Allah thats good news. May Allah strengthen your Imaan ( Faith) and bless you with all the good things in life
My suggestion is keep on studying & understanding and practising islam and try to make some muslim friends if you have in your area.
