The Clear Differences Between “The Mob” And “The People” by BluntCrazeMan: 11:52am On Mar 07, 2023
“The Mob” could be described as a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly, and intent on causing trouble or violence.

Whereas, “The People” refers to the citizens of a country, especially when considered in relation to those who govern them. “The People” can also refer to the members of a society when considered collectively, without specially recognizing individuals of special ranks or positions.

Some people see the Obidient Movement as A Mob..
People like Tolu Ogunlesi, who once tweeted:
“... He will also need to figure out a way to break free from the opinions of the mob, and assert some level of Independence.
Otherwise, the fear of them (what they will say if they don't approve of what he thinks is best, politically), will lead to debilitating paralysis. ...“

Gov. Soludo of Anambra State even went further to describe the movement as “A Headless Mob”.

But even with all these distractions and name-calling, the Obidients see themselves as an integral and a functional part of “The People” of Nigeria.

In this thread, I want to put the differences between the mob and the people very clear.

Nobody should be using the two of them interchangeably,, be you a professor or a propagandist.

1. The Mob does not think, but the people think. The people can bring in their various individual thinking together, and they can also make a collective decision as a people, which they would adhere to. But for the Mob, the mob cannot make decisions.

2. The Mob does not have a direction.[b] The mob is disorderly. But the people have a purpose. They have a direction. They know what they want, and they go for it.

[b]3. The Mob has no form of leadership in anyway.
But the people have a form of leadership amongst them, even though without a definite single paramount head, but they have a decentralized leadership system where there are very-many simultaneous leaders, who have mutual respect for themselves and amongst themselves, and also have huge amount of respect for all the people below them in the leadership roles. Thus, external forces cannot easily sway the people away from their direction by successfully swaying only One-or-Two of one of their leaders.

4. The Mob is easily hijacked and brainwashed. But the people are not easily hijacked and brainwashed.

5. The Mob does not listen.. They only get manipulated, hijacked, and controlled. But the people listen. The people can understand. The people can also be dialogued wit.

6. The only tendency the mob has is to cause violence, and to destroy. But the people seek to help one another, and to put things in order, and to do the right things at the right time, so that the next person would not get hurt by their mistakes or omissions..

THERE ARE MANY MANY MORE DIFFERENCES WHICH I HAVE NOT LISTED HERE.,,
BUT I GUESS THESE LITTLE ONES HERE ARE ENOUGH TO DRIVE MY POINT HOME.

Now, if with all these points, you still think that the Obidients would best be described as “A MOB”,, then it's up to you..

We will just “Decide” to leave you to continue to wallow in your delusions..

And one more important thing..

Even if you lie to every other person on earth,, please don't ever lie to yourself.. Not to even talk of you believing your own lies..

Try as much as you can to say the truth you know,, and when you know a deeper truth, admit it that you were not well informed at the earlier instant.

But don't ever know the truth and decide to believe a lie, and worst of all -- be propagating the lie.

As for Tolu Ogunlesi’s tweet..
https://twitter.com/toluogunlesi/status/1632353701007351818?t=-h77Yyh1ivTLxZfatRxgJA..

He need to answer these questions..
How can a mob control anybody??
A mob has no direction..
So, how can they control anybody??

How can a mob have an Opinion.??
In-fact, can a mob even think?
So how can he even talk of a mob having an Opinion.??

It is only “the People” who can have an opinion, because the people can think.

Therefore, any leader who sees The Opinions of THE PEOPLE as that of a “Mob” is not worthy to be A True Leader.

When a good leader identifies A Mob,, he treats them like the Mob they are.
But when he is with the people, he should also treat them like “The People” which they are.
