A popular obedient on Twitter was caught making the following false tweet:

Breaking!!!”I will tell God that @inecnigeria killed me”. Young boy from Plateau state commits suicide when he realized that Obi has been rigged out of d just concluded elections. D 19year old boy left a short note which read no hope for Nigeria for again. “INEC killed this guy”.

It has however been discovered that this was a fake story as the picture has been around on the internet and is a picture of a yahoo boy who committed suicide in Warri in 2016.

okoros are the largest source of fake news in Nigeria. When I see a topic from an okoro, I get my intellectual guard up because 9 out of 10 it is completely FAKE news.

It’s honestly amazing. Seun it’s only fair you allow people debunk fake news as it leads to massive disinformation on impressionable young people. This should be on the front page as it’s already being shared on church pulpits.
