The point is if people are interested in history it is our there . No one is going to spoon feed anyone. You don't have to do exams just like you do not have to do Bible knowledge exams to know the bible
What is true is that what happens today is history tomorrow e.g Buhari 's government. June 12 etc
History that is taught may not be updated into the syllabus as quickly as some would like and So mandate syllabus stops in 1940 or 1960
Of course the scope of history I limitless

Yoruba history

I wasn't an art student but I knw history was not even an option back then when I was in secondary school... Also when I was serving I taught in 2 schs and history wasn't an option either

If people are not interested you cannot force them
There were many subjects in the syllabus like French,Music and So on even languages like Hausa and Yoruba
I don't think people are that interested in African History but at A level European history was very popular
