Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) one-week extension of the governorship and state houses of assembly elections, some Nigerian universities have announced new resumption dates for academic activities. The Federal Ministry of Education had previously directed Nigerian tertiary institutions to suspend academic activities until the election was completed on March 14th. However, INEC has moved the second round of the country’s general elections from March 11th to March 18th.
