Battle for Enugu Guber Seat: Edeoga Recruits Fake Soldiers to Intimidate Voters
 
Information from reliable sources has it that the Gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, Chijioke Edeoga, is recruiting thugs from neighboring states and sewing them soldier uniforms to pose as soldiers on the March 18th gubernatorial election and help rig the elections across Enugu State.
 
Edeoga, who has long been rejected by Enugu indigenes, is rather desperate to become governor at all costs and is willing to go to any length with his ill quest.
 
On the basis of available information, armed thugs recruited as fake soldiers have been mobilized across the 17 local government areas of Enugu and have been duly briefed on how to aid in rigging the polls for the Edeoga and the Labour Party.
 
One of the thugs recruited, Tijani from Kogi, who escaped from their camp at Igboeze during their oath-taking, confessed to a few citizens of the sinister plot of Edeoga and his group.
 
Tijani said he and many others from Kogi and Benue were transported into Enugu State at night with the promise of being enlisted in the Nigerian army, only for them to discover it was for election rigging. They most likely swore an oath, and their pay is 100,000 naira.
 
Edeoga and his fellow travelers are not planning for free and fair elections but to suppress and intimidate voters and snatch ballot boxes where necessary. The electorate in Enugu must rise against such evil in the land.
