As the race to Lugard House gets more competitive and nearer, a strong APC support group named APC Grassroots Ambassadors have suggested the Auditor General for Local Government in the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as a perfect fit for replacement of Governor Yahaya Bello and worthy lieutenant that has the innate capacity for continuity of good governance the Governor has started in the state.

The group says the need for the Governor to be extremely cautious and intentionally introspective in taking decisions on his successor is very important and cannot be toyed with. The group made this know in a press statement on Thursday in Lokoja, the State capital and charged the Governor not to allow himself to be carried away by number of aspirants in the race but consider loyalty, competence and continuity in the good governance he has established in the state as the three cardinal points that must guide his decision making.

The press release which was signed by the group's State Coordinator Pastor Segun Johnson and Spokesperson, Hon Haruna Ibrahim further says that among all those jostling for the seat, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been consistent in his loyalty to the Governor, his generosity to the people, his commitment and outstanding performance in his official assignments and people's oriented Political participation and leadership.

The statement describes Alh Ododo's character of transparency, integrity and accountability at work as a reason for the stability that have been experienced in local governments in the state, through proper sanitization of the system, blockage of financial loopholes in the local governments payroll and establishment of order that killed the monster of ghost workers and other human challenges and fraud associated with the local government system in the state. The group hailed Alh Ododo's humility, simplicity and focus, liking him to traits of Governor Yahaya Bello that makes him stand out.

Hon Haruna says the party members are grateful to Governor Yahaya Bello for his style of inclusive leadership that have been beneficial to the party members and demand that he hand over to someone who could continue culture of welfarism for the party members, development for the state and detribalized in his approach to leadership.

The group says it will begin a ward to ward mobilization of eligible voters for the governorship project of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and enjoin Kogites and APC stakeholders to support the young man who will make the state proud.
