The attention of *Edo State PDP Social Media Force Team* has been drawn to a misleading, falsehood and malicious article purportedly making the rounds on social media that His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki has reached an agreement with LP for an alliance with LP to endorse Barr. Osarodion Ogie as LP Governorship Candidate and Hon. Sergius Ogun as his running mate in the 2024 Edo State Governorship Election and Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu as PDP Governorship Candidate and Hon. Mathew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen as his running mate.

We urge the general public to disregard and discountenance the falsehood and malicious article from disgruntled elements and enemies of Edo state, whose purpose is to maliciously discredit and incite the public against the performing Governor of Edo State and to hoodwink the general public.

We want to make it categorically clear that His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Barr. Osarodion Ogie and our Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu are very focus and busy daily discharging their various statutory obligations to Edo people , whom they pledged and sworn to serve. No amount of distraction will wake them take their eyes off the ball, as they resolved. Their primary responsibility is to serve the people, and they are not thinking about the 2024 Edo State Governorship Election, which is still very far away.

We urge the disgruntled elements and enemies of Edo State, whose stock in trade is to fabricate and propagate falsehood to go and look for something better to engage their brain , as the general public are very much aware, sophisticated and learned to be hoodwink.
