My name is Ubah Christopher Uzodimma, we are here today to learn about Chronic Health Conditions.

But before we proceed, lets take a good look at the meaning of Chronic Health Condition, a chronic condition is a health situation or disease that is persistent or otherwise long lasting in it's effects or a disease that comes with time.

The term chronic is often applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months. Imagine going to hospital and spend about 4-6 months treating a particular disease such can be referred as chronic health condition.

Examples of common chronic sicknesses include:

* Diabetes

* functional gastrointestinal disorder

* eczema

* obesity

* arthritis

* asthma

* cancer

* chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

* Lyme disease

* genetic disorder

* some viral diseases such as hepatitis C,

* acquired immune deficiency syndrome and

* stroke etc

Today we'll be looking at the causes of regular chronic health conditions in our society like diabetes, stroke, heart attack and obesity.

We all know 80% of this diseases are as results of what we eat or consume- excess consumption of carbohydrates and fat foods content give rise to high level of cholesterol which damage the kidney causing poor functionality of the bladder that latter results to diabetes.

Excess accumulation of cholesterol in our body may result to obesity. And too much deposit of cholesterol in our blood veins causes the blockage of blood flow and poor circulation within our system resulting to high blood pressure- unhealthy occurrence within the blood system which may generate and causes the heart to over work itself there by creating more severe condition and heart diseases.

But we cannot do without consumption of carbohydrates and fats which side effects gradually keep growing and latter show up with maximum force mainly when we 're at our mid or old age.

Which is why we should support ourselves by taking enough fruits, vegetables, and physical exercises for our body system to function perfectly.
