The good people of Awka South I Constituency in Anambra State has declared unwavering support for the labour party candidate for the state house of assembly election.

The disclosure was made known when hundreds of Awka South residents support groups turned out in their numbers to rally round Awka for sensitization and campaign for the candidate for Awka South I Constituency.

The rally which started from Aroma to Ifite-Awka, went round Amawbia to Ogbalimgba to the popular Eke-Awka market then back to the party office in Awka.

Speaking at the rally, the member representing Awka North And South in the Federal House of Representatives, Prof. Lilian Orogbu made it clear that the outcome of the Saturday march 18 election for the Anambra State House of Assembly will stabilize a sustainable, efficient, responsive and productive government.

While calling on the entire Awka South residents to shower the same love and support given to her to the labour party state house of assembly candidate, she added that labour party has produced the best candidate to represent every constituency in the state in the most responsible and accountable manner.

In his separate remark, the deputy inspector general of police rtd, Chief Celestine Okoye expressed optimism that the results for the Saturday election will yield landslide victory for all the candidates running for the state house of assembly under labour party. He advised the obedient people of Awka and Anambra to be patient and hopeful for the peace but quick recovery of people's mandate.

Other keynote persons present at the rally includes, the Anambra All Support Group Chairman, Hon. Obiora Anueyiagu. Labour Party State Woman leader and amongst other state party executives and chieftains.
