In Luke Gospel the story of Lazarus and the rich man is always used to illustrate how the riches of a man can be misleading and the reward of being poor and humble.
Luke 16:19-31

In mark 8 the Gospel ask a very fundamental question about gaining the whole world and loosing your soul at the end?
Mark 8:34-38

While this generation is so focused on RTID what will your advice to them as a Christian? Iron sharpeneth iron so add your thoughts and more scriptures...

No need they are an evil generation who have already said they want to die. So, rich or poor they have already chosen death. So let them pursue their deaths.

1. According to Jesus Christ, in order to find the Narrow Gate which leads to True Life, you must die to yourself. This includes giving away all you have and own, abandoning family, friends, reputation, work/career/job, etc. for His Sake. Matthew 10 vs 34 - 36 & Matthew 13 vs 42-44 . That is what Jesus Christ meant when He said that you must first lose your life in order to save it - Matthew 16 vs 24 - 26 & Luke 17 vs 33 & Luke 9 vs 23 - 25 & Mark 8 vs 35 - 36 undecided
